About YIC!
The Youth Involvement Council Inc.(YIC) has been operating predominantly in the Hedland area for over 21 years and is managed by a Board of Management, comprising a wide cross section of the community and business sector. YIC receives funding from a number of government agencies to support the three major youth services (outlined below), and several major programs are also undertaken through the collaboration and sponsorship of community partners. Current programs include the Youth Mentoring Program, Birds and Bees, and Community Visits to Yandeyarra and Warralong.
YIC was first incorporated in 1990, though it has been an active part of the community since 1987.

Over the years YIC has supported and helped many youth in Hedland through various programs designed to encourage and guide our youth to become happy and healthy young adults.
