Birds & Bees is a program that has an underlying theme of sexual health but also addresses other various teenage issues such as bullying, education pathways, possible careers and positive community engagement. The program is run in gender groups namely Butterflies for girls and Brotherhood for boys and participants are aged from 10-15. The groups will spend time with youth groups of no more than 10 to ensure quality engagement during various activities and focuses on the development of skills in young people. Activities include hair & makeup, self-esteem, sexual health, camps, modelling, movies, swimming lessons, skate boarding workshops, fishing, cooking, horsemanship and lots more. As the young people build trusting relationships with their mentors, various topics are raised, shared and discussed in a safe environment.
