On Wednesday the 6th of August the Youth Involvement Council, Bloodwood Tree and Pilbara Community Legal Service along with local community people marched from Wapa Maya to the Department of Housing where we brought attention to the community of the issues of Homelessness in Port Hedland. We erected 6 tents, with attached information about the issues. We followed up with a get together at Wapa Maya for a lovely kangaroo stew with damper and fresh fruit for the people who are homeless.
If you know a young person in the Hedland Community doing great things be sure to nominate them for YIC Hedland Youth Awards 2016!! Download the 2016 nomination form now!
